Corrosion Inhibitive Effect Of Vernonia Amygdalina Extract On Aluminium In Acidic Media

The corrosion inhibition of aluminium in 0.5 M HCl by extract of Vernonia amygdalina was studied using the gravimetric (weight loss) method at 40oC temperature. The result revealed that the extract of V. amygdalina inhibited the corrosion process of aluminium in the HCl solution.
