Summary of Profile
Dr. Patrick Omoregie Isibor possesses B.Sc. Zoology (Ekpoma), M.Sc. Pollution Studies & Ecotoxicology (Benin), and Ph.D. Pollution Studies & Ecotoxicology (Benin).
He has been actively involved in biomonitoring investigations of fresh, brackish, and marine water bodies. He conduct environmental surveys of seabed and open waters using indicator species. Notable projects on research explorations of the Gulf of Guinea were successfully accomplished with demonstration of expertise. Spatial and temporal distribution of sentinel species such as plankton, benthic and nekton communities were employed as indicators of environmental conditions. The results have culminated in 44 publications (still counting) as reports of the oil exploration activities on the Nigerian environment towards informed decision making and policy development.
