Summary of Profile
Esther Opeola Lawal-Solarin is an experienced and versatile librarian. A recipient of European Economic Commission Award (EEC). She is a Certified Librarian by the Librarian Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN). She has publications in both local and International journals. She worked as the Manager and chief librarian in charge of both print and non-print libraries for many yrs. She attended Holy Child College, Ikoyi for her secondary education. While in Holy Child, she was a class prefect and a sporting lady, received many prizes for neatness and most behaved student. She won many trophies for the school in both field and track events. She studied at the University of Lagos, University of Ibadan, Loughborough University, UK and Babcock University, Nigeria. She was a publicity secretary of the African-Carribean Society at Loughborough University, a Soprano chorister of the University Choir and the Methodist Church, Loughborough, in the United Kingdom. Also, a soprano chorister at the Trinity Methodist Church, Tinubu, Nigeria and the Church Sunday School Superintendent.Presently, she worships at Living Faith Church and she is working in the Reserved Section, Centre for Learning Resources, Covenant University. A member of the Nigerian Library Association, Loughborough University Alumni Association, UK, and Holy Child College Old Girls Association.
