Online negotiation of ethnic identity

This study applies a computer-mediated discourse analysis to investigate identity in the social media. Mainly blogs and discussion forums, the study shows that online communication mediates social and cultural issues and that the Internet has been adapted is a medium to negotiate perceived endangered ethnic identities.
