Dr. Ayokunle Awelewa

He obtained B.Eng. (Electrical Engineering) from University of Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria, and M.Eng. (Electrical Power and Machines) from Covenant University, Canaan Land, Ota, Nigeria, in 2001 and 2007, respectively. He partook in the compulsory NYSC program as a corps teacher between January 2002 and January 2003, and thereafter, worked as a computer trainee engineer between 2003 and 2004 at Doltotemics Computer Center, Ikeja. Besides, he was a graduate assistant between September 2004 and July 2007 at Covenant University, where he simultaneously underwent his Master’s degree program. He has a doctorate in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, and occupies the position of Lecturer I now in the same University, where he teaches, among others, courses in control of dynamical systems and robotics and automation. He is a corporate member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and a registered member of the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN). His research interests include modeling, analysis, and control of dynamical systems; and analysis, stabilization and control of electric power networks, including renewable energy resources.
