Summary of Profile
Achugamonu Bede Uzoma is a Lecturer in the department of Banking and Finance, College of Business and Social Science, Covenant University, Ota. His research interest is in development finance with bias in Financial Inclusion. He teaches Strategic Financial Management, Performance Management, Business Finance, Banking Law, Ethics and Corporate Governance, Computer Information Technology and Entrepreneurial Development Studies. He obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree (Accounting) from Ambrose Alli University in 2002 and subsequently bagged his Master of Science Degree in Finance from the University of Lagos, Akoka in 2012. Having joined Covenant University in 2013 he obtained another Master of Science Degree in Banking and Finance in 2015 before being admitted as a P.hd Student in the same department where he is currently writing his thesis.
Achugamonu Bede Uzoma is an astute professional with more than 15 years of professional and academic experience having worked with DAAR Communications Plc where he rose to the position of Head, Credit Control Unit and presently as a Lecturer II with Covenant University. He qualified as a Chartered Banker and Chartered Accountant in 2006 and 2009 respectively. Presently he is a Reviewer with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria professional exams.
Achugamonu is an accomplished author with more than twenty-two journals and conference papers to his credit. He is a recipient of several awards amongst which includes: (i) the best graduating M.Sc. student, College of Business and Social Science, Covenant University, 2015/2016 session and (ii) the best student, Foundation Section 1 exam of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria 2001.
