The Fifth Edition of SAP Commences
The fifth edition of Systems Application and Products in Data Processing (SAP), commenced on March 4, 2013 with an opening ceremony graced by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Charles K. Ayo at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Covenant University.
In his welcome address, the Head of Department, Prof F.O. Oyawale described SAP as a 10-day programme, which gives the student the opportunity to learn fundamental and integrative business processes in procurement, production planning, project management, financial accounting, asset management, customer service within the SAP ERP application.
He assured the participants that the training would make them better technical managers.
The Vice-Chancellor in his remarks, stated that the University had trained over 100 Nigerian students and fresh graduates from over 15 Nigerian Universities. He advised them to maximize the opportunity and wished them success in the programme.
Other dignitaries at the opening session were the Registrar, Dr. Ubong Ntia, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Professor AAA. Atayero, Director, Financial Services, Deacon Deji Okunbanjo, Director, Centre for Systems and Information Services, Engr. Bayo Ajala and Senior Assistant Registrar (V.C’s Office), Mr KaluOkwuagwu.
